Class of 1961
General (Retired) Robert L. Rutherford was the commander in chief of the United States Transportation Command, and commander of the Air Force's Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. As a unified command commander in chief, he was responsible to the secretary of defense for the nation's defense transportation requirements. He exercised command over service transportation components from the Army, Navy and Air Force. As commander of AMC, he provided operationally trained, equipped and mission-ready air mobility forces to support U.S. requirements.

Lt. Gen. Giovanni K. Tuck is the Director for Logistics, Joint Staff, the Pentagon, Arlington, Va. As the J4, he integrates logistics planning and execution in support of global operations and assists the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in fulfilling his responsibilities as the principal military advisor to the President and Secretary of Defense.

Gen. Mark D. Kelly is the Commander, Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. As the commander, he is responsible for organizing, training, equipping and maintaining combat-ready air, space, cyber and intelligence forces for rapid deployment and employment while ensuring strategic air defense forces are ready to meet the challenges of peacetime air sovereignty and wartime defense.

Maj. Gen. (Retired) Robert D. LaBrutta was the Director of Military Force Management Policy, Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel and Services, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. The directorate is responsible for establishing military force management policies for more than 500,000 total force personnel. These policies guide the accession, assignment, evaluation, skills analysis and management, promotion, readiness, retraining, retention, separation, and retirement of the Air Force's human capital.

Brig. Gen. (Retired) F. Randall Starbuck was the vice commander, 21st Air Force, McGuire Air Force Base, N.J. Twenty-first Air Force commands and assured the combat readiness of assigned air mobility forces over the Atlantic half of the globe -- from the Mississippi River to Calcutta, India.

Brig. Gen. John E. Michel is the Commanding General, NATO Air Training Command-Afghanistan; NATO Training Mission/Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan; and Commander, 438th Air Expeditionary Wing, Kabul, Afghanistan.
